My deck is on the north side of my house so obviously that does not work well. The west side of my deck would work except for a fully grown shade tree. I do not have the ideal setup but this should work pretty well. Next year I will attempt a container hop plant on the west side of my house (25 foot peak and the tree does not block the sun here).
